Club 33, Royal Street, New Orleans Square, Disneyland

Thanks to Jenn Chu, I had the privilege of joining her for brunch at the ” Members ONLY”  Club 33 in Disneyland!

” Years ago, Walt Disney felt that a special place was needed where he could entertain visiting dignitaries and others in a quiet, serene atmosphere where superb cuisine and distinctive decor would complement one another. He asked artist Dorothea Redmond to provide watercolor renderings of what such a place might look like. Accompanied by renowned decorator Emil Kuri, Walt and his wife traveled to New Orleans to select many of the beautiful antiques that are on display. After years of planning, Club 33 became a reality in May of 1967. Sadly enough, it was never seen by its creator because of his untimely death five months earlier.” (club 33 Website)

I sat across Elba at a local Panera bread listening closely to all the beautiful details of her upcoming wedding celebration. We talked about her dress, color palette, shoes, bouquets etc….. Elba had this glow and excitement that was absoulutely contagious! I thought within me, what a beautiful bride she will be… I felt lucky & honored to be photographing her and her husband to be  on their special day.   On July 9th, along with the bridesmaids, I photographed Elba slip into her gown and put on her beautiful long veil, I thought to myself again, this is exactly how I pictured Elba that day…

The day began with me arriving at Elba’s house during hair & make-up. Her lovely sisters Estela & Anabel along with the other bridesmaids assisted her. It was such a fun group of lovely girls…

Elba’s dress and long veil were absolutely exquisite! It was so elegant and classy!

Elba looked stunning!

I then headed out to the Church,  Holy Name of Mary in San Dimas, to meet with the groom and snap a few photos of him since we didn’t cover him pre-ceremony. Jiovanny was already at the church when I arrived, he looked a bit nervous but anxiously awaiting his gorgeous bride.

When Elba arrived, we tucked the groom  away while Elba awaited in the bridal room with her bridesmaids and parents. I was so touched by the emotional exchanges between Elba & her parents. Her dad & mom must have made everyone in the room tear up a bit while they blessed their daughter… They cried,  laughed, hugged and kissed! It was beautiful!

Elba’s flower girl didn’t exactly love love love her dress! The moment her dress was on, she undressed herself and walked down the isle with her own sense of style! Loved her!!!

After the ceremony, Elba & Jiovanny were greeted by their loved ones and then drove off in Jio’s muddy rugged jeep with a JUST MARRIED sign! It was awesome!

Shortly after the reception began, I took Mr. & Mrs. Preciado out of the venue for some couple portraits. Elba & Jio make a beautiful couple and it was my pleasure to document such a special day of their lives!

Their reception was fabulous! Surrounded by their loved ones, they celebrated the day that marks the beginning of their lives together!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Preciado!  Elba & Jio will be returning from their honeymoon in Europe this week. I hope that when they are able to browse through their wedding collection, they are able to re-live their special day just like I do everytime I see their photos!

Here’s a link to their video, hope you enjoy!
